Cal Poly Pamona Scolinos Baseball Field Project

The project site is located on the existing California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona), campus. The campus encompasses the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Pomona, City of Walnut, and unincorporated portions of the County of Los Angeles (County), but the proposed project is specifically located within the City of Pomona. Cal Poly Pomona is proposing updates to the existing Scolinos Baseball Field to enhance both the experience of student athletes and Cal Poly Pomona as a whole. The main focus of the Cal poly Pomona Scolinos Baseball Field Project includes the addition of field lighting to light the field to meet the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I standards. Other upgrades to the existing field include construction of a team locker room with offices, showers, and storage; public restrooms and concession stands; stadium bleachers; a press box; a bullpen; batting cages; and equipment areas. In addition to these structural upgrades, additional site improvements including field entrances, landscaping, concrete work, decorative fencing, and a scoreboard would be implemented. The project would be constructed in four phases; the first phase would include the field lighting construction, and the remaining three phases would include the remaining construction upgrades.
