Document Description
Cal Water proposes to construct a new 1.5 million gallon (MG) capacity reservoir at the existing East Los Angeles (ELA) Station 55. ELA Station 55 already contains a 0.5 MG capacity reservoir, as well as a booster station. The Proposed Project involves the construction of another welded steel tank at the site with an 87-foot diameter, and estimated maximum height of 42 feet with a minimum height of 36 feet (the actual height to be determined by the tank contractor, and a 1.5 MG capacity. In conjunction with the construction of the new reservoir, additional piping will also be installed at the Project site. Earthwork on site will consist of over-excavating then re-compacting the soils for the new reservoir location. Excavated soils will remain onsite. The Project site is flat and will require minimal grading.
