Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead The project proposes to update the City's General Plan Land Use Element (LUE) and to adopt a new General Plan Urban Design Element (UDE). The proposed LUE would replace the current 1989 General Plan LUE. Compared to the existing LUE, the proposed updated LUE would introduce the concept of "PlaceTypes," which would replace the current approach of segregating property within the City through traditional land uses designations and zoning classifications. The UDE would be an entirely new element of the City's General Plan. The UDE aims to improve the City's PlaceTypes by creating great places, improving the urban fabric, public spaces, and defining edges, thoroughfares, and corridors.
