Document Description
Over a period of years, rehabilitate 11 existing bridges currently posted with weight restrictions. The bridges are located on the following County roads: Suey Creek Rd (one bridge), Dana Foothill Rd (one), Upper Los Berros Rd (four), and Morretti Canyon Road (five). These wooden bridges have increased maintenance costs and can also pose public health and safety issues by restricting access to large vehicles. Three bridges on Morretti Canyon Road do not span a jurisdictional feature and would be replaced with earthen fill or earthen fill with a culvert. The remaining eight bridges span a jurisdictional feature and would be replaced with new pre-cast concrete bridge decks and steel railings. Existing abutments would remain in place and new abutments built back from stream banks. Work would be restricted to the area outside of resource agency jurisdiction.
