Document Description
The purpose of the Plan is to serve as a descriptive inventory of fish, wildlife, plants, and habitat types which occur on the Reserve; provide a guide for appropriate uses of the Reserve; provide a guide for appropriate uses of the Reserve; and provide an overview of and vision for the Reserve's operation, maintenance, and personnel requirements. The primary use of the Reserve will be as protected open space and wildlife habitat, with possible public uses to include hunting, education, and scientific research. Management will focus on maintaining viable populations of sensitive species and their habitats, and on the restoration and enhancement of natural communities within an ecosystem-based framework. Emphasis will be placed on the protection of riparian and wetland areas, restoration and enhancement of native grassland, and the control of noxious weeds.
