Document Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is going to replace the existing 250,000 gallon elevated storage tank at CIM. The new exsiting structure provides domestic and fire protection water for CIM and it was originally constructed in 1938. The new storage tank, with a high water elevation at 150 ft., will be of a multi-leg design, and with a storage capacity of 200,000 gallons. The new tank will have the structural stability to withstand potential seismic events and will meet current building codes. The old tank will be demolished and the new tank will be constructed in the same general location.
