Document Description
The proposed project is to improve access to persons with disabilities in the Van Nuys State building for compliance with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and 2013 CA Building Code (CBC) Standards. The Van Nuys State Building Access Barrier Removal Project includes modifying architectural items in the common areas of the building such as path modifications to walk slopes at building entries, improved accessibility route to elevators, identification signage and directories, restripe of parking stalls, adding truncated domes, and modify ramps. The project will comply with local ordinances, rules and regulations. The project will improve accessibility and safety for State employees and the public.
