Document Description
Due to an increase in the numbers of condemned inmates house at SQSP, CDCR is going to provide additional housing in an adjacent cell block. The original steel door (circa 1900s) between the two cell blocks is far too heavy and unwieldy to use on a regular basis. This door will be fastened in an open position against the wall and a new door, that meets current design standards, will be constructed in the opening. An exisitng security fence will be replaced by a solid wall in the exercise yard to provide increased safety and security for inmates and staff. Other minor modifications will be made to cells and showers.
