Document Description
Install knox boxes on both the Boiler Shop and Erecting Shop at the Sacramento Railyards to allow for fire department access in case of emergency. The knox boxes will be provided by the Sacramento City Fire Department and district maintenance staff will install them on the outer northern doors of both the Boiler Shop and the Erecting Shop. Holes will be drilled into the steel sheet walls beside each door and the boxes will be bolted in place. After installation is complete, the work will be inspected by the Sacramento City Fire Department.
