Document Description
CDFW proposes to construct approx. 0.5 miles of new fence and replace approx. 1.3 miles of existing barbwire fence around the perimeter o the CDFW owned Pine Creek Unit of the Round Valley Wildlife Area. The new fence will be built wildlife friendly specifications and be constructed primarily using hand tools. The purpose of this project is to exclude unauthorized vehicular access, prevent potential livestock trespass, and to clearly demarcate the boundaries of the recently established Wildlife Area. The project will include clearing of woody vegetation along fence lines and grading of previously excavated land to restore the natural gradient and topography of the site. Vehicle and pedestrian gates as well as signage will be installed at key points around the Wildlife Area.
