Document Description
Perform geotechnical soil testing at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to evaluate subsurface conditions at three comfort station replacement locations and provide geotechnical recommendations. At the Day Use Area work will utilize a truck mounted hollow stem auger to bore approx. 15 to 20 feet in the area of the proposed new comfort station and approx. 5 feet in the area of the proposed new comfort station and approx. 5 feet in the area of the proposed new pavement improvements. At the Group Picnic Area work will utilize a truck mounted hollow stem auger to bore approx. 15 to 20 feet in the area of the proposed new comfort station. At the Redwoods Loop Trail work will utilize a hand operated auger to bore approx. 5 to 10 feet to perform a deep cone penetration sound.
