Document Description
Project consists of 11 trail reroute segments, totaling approx. 2.5 miles (13,644 feet) of new trail construction. Route segments include National Forest Transportation System (NFTS) motorcycles trails. Project activities include trail reconstruction to protect sensitive resources (e.g., meadows, archeology), construction of trail switchbacks to eliminate unsustainable steep hill climb sections of route, reroute of trails to minimize private land conflicts, and completion of BMPs required in the 2009 Stanislaus National Forest Motorized Travel Management Plan.
