Document Description
Project comprises permanent closure and restoration of approx. 8.12 acres (8 sites) of unauthorized motorized vehicle impacted area in the Deer Creek and Lyons Creek areas and blocking and restoration of approx. 10.26 miles of trail, which includes 9.65 miles of unauthorized routes and 0.61 miles of existing National Forest Transportation System (NFTS) in 54 locations throughout the Mi-Wok North District. To control and confine vehicle use to designated NFTS, the project will install approx. 0.76 miles of fence or rock barriers. In addition, the project will reroute approx. 1.99 miles of trails added to the NFTS to bypass previously designated NFTS motorized trails and construct one new segment (0.37 miles) of ATV trail added to the NFTS to connect road 4N09B to 3N47Y to improve the OHV route intersection with 4N09 and minimize OHV use on a paved section of road 4N09.
