Document Description
April Road experiences a high rate of traffic of individuals who "hang out" on the boundary line of State Parks and the private land owner, resulting in trash dumpling, driving off-road and illegal fires. There is an exisitng chain link fence extending out from both sides of the entrance road, however, the gate across the road was removed several years ago. April Road is already posted against public entry and there are no trails or other park facilities accessible from the road.
This project proposes to replace the gate with double, 8-foot swing-out chain link fence panels. The gate will be secured to the existing fence posts. Installation of new fence posts may be required if existing posts are not sufficient to maintain the weigh of the new gate panels. "Diasy chain" locks will be installed on the gate for access by State Parks employees and the private property to the north.
