Document Description
The Nimitz Marine Facility carries out a variety of ship maintenance, repair, and other maritime related activities and is regulated under the State-wide Industrial General Permit for storm water. Storm water runoff from the site discharges directly into the San Diego Bay and is monitored for pollutants in accordance with permit requirements. Results from storm water monitoring indicate that concentrations of metals and sediment are above permit action levels, despite the implementation of source control.
