The project involves a neighborhood rain garden program. Overall the sites, 1,200 square-feet of pervious surface, ten rain gardens, forty rain barrels, two street gardens, and twenty downspout disconnects will be installed. The purpose of the project is to reduce nonpoint source pollution into the City of Chico's stormwater conveyance system. The beneficiaries of the project are the citizens, residents, and property owners of the City of Chico.
