Document Description
Project area is located in Calaveras County approx. 2 miles northeast of the community of Mountain Ranch. The project area is approx. 2,500 feet in elevation above sea level. Vegetation consists of a mixture of native oaks, pines and various planted species. The project area has been developed and the current CALFIRE Esperanza Forest Fire Station occupies the site. The project area is approx. 2 acres in size. The proposed project will consist of the removal of any trees or other vegetation which are dead, dying or damaged at the fire station. The trees to be removed are a hazard to the fire station personnel and the public. Other vegetation removed or replaced will be done under general landscape maintenance of the station.
