Document Description
The Modification authorizes the continued operation of the existing Gala Centrifugal Pellet Dryer Model 5048 (Dryer) at the Battery Wrecker Unit within the Quemetco Facility (Facility). The Dryer is deemed necessary to allow the Facility to remove moisture from crushed plastic battery casings prior to transfer of the plactic to trailer trucks for off-site shipment. This permit modification would also allow installation of two larger plastic sink/float tanks (1,360-galloncapacity) to replace existing smaller plastic sink/float tanks (450-gallon capacity).The increased tank size will allow for better separation of plastic from the crushed battery.
