Document Description
The project will develop an open standard communication interface for smart inverter technology, and will test and demonstrate the ability of smart inverters to support PV renewable energy with energy storage and electrical vehicle chargers. The project will provide approaches that make renewable energy more efficient and supportive of the electrical grid, and thus allow accommodation of more renewable generation in the CA electricity sector. Additionally, the non-technology approaches of smart inverter deployment and integration will enhance the adoption of clean energy technologies to benefit CA electricity ratepayers.
