Document Description
The Dept. of General Services project includes installation of a freestanding 8-foot steel picket fence parallel to an existing 6-foot steel picket fence; four new exterior lights mounted to existing columns adjacent to the new fence and new 8-foot gate at the existing entrance of the building. The 8-foot fence, light fixtures and gate would be located at street level along an approx. 106-foot section of open area at the Elihu M. Harris Building facing Jefferson Street. The new light fixtures and gate would be mounted on the existing columns. The columns of the building would not be modified. The open space area of the building is used as a state employee daycare facility play area. The new eight foot steel picket fence will provide additional screening and enhance the safety of the children, parents and daycare employees.
