Document Description
The project consists of making improvements to both Vinci Avenue and Vinci Avenue bridge which will open the east-west bridge to traffic and provide better access to Raley Boulevard and I-80 for truck traffic. Vinci Avenue bridge will improved by replacing 30-inch metal beam guard rail barrier with 42-inch concrete barriers. Additionally, since the bridge contains no shoulders, the project will also incorporate a 6-foot wide sidewalk on the south side of the bridge and a 1.66-foot wide concrete strip on the north side for pedestrian and maintenance purposes. Roadway improvements will also take place along Vinci Avenue. The proposed project will include the rehabilitation and extension of approximately 0.40 miles of paved road and will incorporate 5-foot widened shoulders.
