Document Description
The Monte Sereno 2015-2023 Housing Element identifies the policies and programs that the City of Monte Sereno will implement to meet the projected housing needs of all economic segments of the community, as required by State law. California's housing element law requires that each city and county inventory available sites and develop local housing programs to ensure that the community can meet its "fair share" of existing and future housing needs for all income groups. The 2015 Housing Element is an update to the Housing Element adopted by the City of Monte Sereno on June 1, 2010. The 2010 Housing Element included a comprehensive set of amendments to the Housing Element, and the City adopted substantial changes to the Monte Sereno Municipal Code to ensure compliance with State Law. On September 7, 2010, the CA Dept. of Housing and Community Development determined that the 2010 Housing Element was in compliance with State Law.
