Document Description
The City of Jackson intends to replace the existing French Bar Road Bridge (26C-0035) over South Fork Jackson Creek to improve roadway safety and comply with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) guidelines. The overall 36 ft wide replacement structure will accommodate two approximately 10-ft traffic lanes, two 3-ft shoulders, a 6-ft wide sidewalk on the south side of the bridge, and 2-ft wide standard metal bridge railing barriers on both sides of the bridge. The new bridge abutments will be realigned to provide improved hydraulic capacity through the project area. The new bridge will be raised approximately 3 ft to comply with Caltrans Standards.
