Use Permit Amendment 119-87A3 (Lassen Canyon Nursery)

The applicant is requesting approval of Use Permit Amendment 119-87A3 to construct 8 screen houses, 2 greenhouses, a 360-sf addition to an existing storage building, a 25kW photovoltaic carport array, and a ground-mounted 676kW photovoltaic solar array field. Four screen houses, the storage building addition and the greenhouse are existing structures for which building permits have not yet been issued. The applicant plans to construct an addition 2,450 sf greenhouse immediately and the additional 5 screen houses are proposed for necessary future expansion of the seedling germination and growing capacity. The photovoltaic system is intended to provide power to the project site exclusively and the power is not proposed to be sold commercially.
