The City of West Sacramento (City) proposes to adopt general plan policies relating to the protection of future development projects within floodplains through planning, development requirements, and restrictions on development. The new flood protection policies are intended to bring the City of West Sacramento's General Plan Safety Element into compliance with Government Code Sections 65302(g), 65302.9 and Senate Bill (SB)5 (Chapter 364, Statutes of 2007).
