The Project includes the redevelopment of a vacant 35,323 sf lot with an affordable rental housing project consisting of 36 units for senior citizens and associated surface parking. Twenty units are proposed as 1-bedroom units with the remaining 16 as 2-bedroom units; the maximum site population of 78 persons. The proposed project is 3 stories tall with a maximum height of 35 ft. A total of thirty six parking stalls or one stall per unit are proposed. The Project includes a General Plan Amendment request to change the land use designation from General Commercial to High Density Residential and a Zoning Change from M-L (Limited Manufacturing) and C-L (Limited Commercial) to R-H (Residential - High Density). The Project includes consideration of a density bonus pursuant to SB 1818 to allow an increase of units.
