Document Description
TUSD proposes to develop several school facilities within the MCAS Tustin Specific Plan area. The proposed project involves expansion of the existing Heritage School enrollment capacity from 600 students to 900 students and development of a 40.03-acre site to house Legacy Academy, a 6-12 magnet Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) school; an alternative education facility (15,000 sf for 384 students); and possibly future District office facilities [50,000 sf for 175 District employees). The proposed Legacy Academy would operate as a magnet STEM school, design for approximately 1,200 to 1,400 students in grades 6 through 12, with an estimated 105,158 sf of building area at buildout. Legacy Academy site will be delivered to the District in construction ready condition.
