Document Description
The equipment was transferred to the Gordon Valley Station in 2014 after a reevaluation of operational needs indicated that the new location would allow faster response times to the majority of vegetation fires within the Unit and the Santa Clara Unit to the south. The dozer is currently stored outside in a gravel area that requires a multi-point turn to stage the transport. The construction of the new dozer shed will protect the equipment from the elemensts and create a more effective location for mechanics to service the dozer and transport. Up to four small liquidambar trees will be removed along the narrow driveway to reduce the angle of the turn and allow the transport to enter and exit via a loop instead of turning around.
