Document Description
Project is the recertification of Scigen Neutralex treatment technology used for onsite treatment of aqueous formaldehyde waste. Scigen is pursuing recertification because its current certification expired on May 1, 2014. Scigen has submitted a certification application for the DTSC approval because DTSC has the authority to certify environmental treatment technologies for treatment of hazardous waste. Recertification will allow continued use of Neutralex as a certified treatment technology enabling onsite treatment of aqueous formaldehyde waste (i.e., in 10 percent neutral buffered formalin waste) resulting from histopathology tissue specimen preservation and automated processor activities.
