Document Description
As proposed, the subject project consistsof the installation of approximately 9,500 feet of new 12-inch PVC water main line. Of this amount, approximately 8,700 feet will be installed within the existing public right-of-way of McCloud Road between Adams Drive and the City's Tank No. 4 located near the Cold Springs water supply. The pipeline will generally be installed within the gravel shoulder and within three feet of the edge of pavement of the existing road. However, short portions of the proposed pipeline will be installed within the existing asphalt concrete paving. Quail Hill Tanks Supply Pipeline - In order to increase the hydraulic capacity of the supply pipeline to and from the Quail Hill Tanks, it will be necessary to install approximately 900 feet of new parallel 12-inch supply pipeline from Quail HIll Drive to the City's existing Quail HIll Tanks.

Both the McCloud Road Pipeline and the Quail Hill Pipelines protions of teh project are consistent with the intent of Sections 15301(b); 15302(c); 15303(d); and 15304(f) of the Public Resources Code as the project involves work to enhance an existing publicly owned municipal utility (water) system and in furtherance of codified law of the State Water Code.
