Document Description
The proposed project is Amendment No. 2 to the lease with the Maritime Museum Association of San Diego (Maritime Museum). The Maritime Museum operates a floating maritime history museum at 1492 North Harbor Drive in San Diego. The Maritime Museum has a 40-year lease with the District, which expires in June 2044. The lease provides for periodic rent reviews and as such, the District is proposing to establish new rent through June 30, 2024, and add two new percentage rental rate categories to the lease. The two new percentage rental rate categories are: 1) 10% of gross income from any "unrelated business income" allowed under the lease, and 2) 50% of gross income from telecommunication uses. No new development, construction, or increase in the size of the property is proposed or authorized at this time.
