Document Description
The Project includes the installation of a second new well on an approximate 0.40-acre lease area on APN 026-050-002. The new well and an existing well will serve the existing customers of the Valley Ford Water Association as well as the parcel on which the lease is located. The above ground improvements at the well site will include one or more storage tanks with a maximum total capacity of 6,000 gallons, two pressure tanks, two small booster pumps (one for the residence and one for raw water transfers to the community), metering, and water level monitoring equipment including a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition control system. Vegetation planting is proposed to screen the facilities from Highway 1. The Project will also include approximately 3,400 lineal feet of two-inch high-density polyethylene water transmission piping to convey the raw water from the new well site to a new treatment facility located near the existing treatment and storage facilities near the terminus of School Road. Treatment facilities will be housed in a new building located in the vicinity of the existing water storage tanks. The building will have an approximate footprint of 12 feet by 16 feet. A small tank of approximately 1,500 gallons for storage of filter backwash water will be added.
