The purpose of the Fine Sediment Management Project is to enhance salmon and steelhead habitat downstream of Lewiston Dam on the mainstem Trinity River. The proposed project is designed to enhance aquatic habitat quality. Fine sediment will be excavated from the Hamilton ponds along Green Valley Creek a tributary to the Trinity River as needed by permitted activities to enhance salmonid habitat. This work is considered to be within the scope of the Master EIR for channel rehabilitation and sediment management for remaining phase 1 and phase 2 sites = SCH# 2008032110.
