Document Description
The project consists of a minor amendment to the 2005 UC Santa Cruz Long Range Development Plan ("LRDP") to revise the land use designation of approx. 3.7 acres of the 6.1 acre Recycling Yard site. The Project redesignates 1.6 acres of Protected Landscape ("PL") and 2.1 acres of Site Research and Support ("SRS") to the Campus Support land use designation. The remaining 2.4 acres of the 6.1 acre site would be used for a new access road and storm water detention areas, which are consistent with the PL and SRS land use designations. The amendment makes no other modifications to the land use principles or designations within the LRDP. The project also includes design approval of Phase 1 of the new facility, which includes perimeter landscaping, fencing, and open area for a working yard.
