Document Description
Wheelabrator Shasta Energy, Inc. has requested approval of an amendment to their existing Use Permit (UP01-033B) for their Biomass Energy Plant in order to modify the currently permitted dimensions of two wood waste fuel storage piles. In addition, the plant manager is proposing to move an existing water berm on the east side of the East fuel pile 100 to 150 feet further east, away from the piles, in order to reduce the degradation of the fuel due to contact with water collected on site during rain events and to minimize odors generated from the fuel piles. No increase in current energy production at the power plant is being proposed.
