Document Description
The City of Los Angeles is proposing to construct a two-story, ~18,500 sf fire station (proposed project) on an ~1.2 acre site located on the northwest corner of Oxnard Street and Vesper Avenue in the community of Van Nuys. At present, the project site is a paved vacant lot. The proposed project would replace the existing Fire Station 39, which is located ~0.5 mile northeast of the project site. the existing Fire Station 39, located at 14415 Sylvan Street, is an ~14,000 sf building located adjacent to the Van Nuys Civic Center. (* Schools within 2 mi: Fulton, Valerio St., Pinecrest, Erwin St., Valley, Cohasset, Bassett, Columbus Ave., St. Elisabeth, Van Nuys HS, Children's Community.
