Document Description
The project is a long-range Redevelopment Plan and near-term project improvements to accommodate anticipated economic activity at the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal. The development concepts and infrastructure improvements identified in the Redevelopment Plan would result in a maximum practical capacity (MPC) at TAMT in 2035 between 5 million and 5.5 million metric tons annually. The near-term, project level component of the plan would demolish two obsolete/under utilized transit sheds and would improve rail operations by installing a rail lubricator and compressed air system on the existing track. The near-term project level improvements are anticipate to occur in 2016 (or when funding is available) and will take ~29 weeks. The long range development concepts would occur over several years as market conditions allow.
