Document Description
The project proposes implementing in-site enhanced reductive dehalogenation (ERD or microbial reduction to address volatile organic compounds in soil and groundwater, which includes the following: 1) Installation of 32 Injection wells at depths of 30, 45, 60 and/or feet deep, 2) Groundwater monitoring for existing 6 cluster wells and installation of five groundwater monitoring wells, 3) Installation of a reagent dosing system for emulsified vegetable oil and sodium bicarbonate and 4) Implementation of a contingency plan which includes: (1) changing the volume and/or type of carbon substrate injections: (2) re-inoculation with microbes and/or (3) installation of additional injection wells to the target potential problem areas. In addition, contingency measures including changes to the rate of air exchange in the building ventilation and/or sealing floor cracks will be implemented if the indoor air samples exceed health risk screening levels.
