Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SBR-23918-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District. The project is limited to eight activities: 1) D-Dike habitat enhancement: a 40-foot wide ramp will be constructed on either side of the d-dike, with four corrugated pipe culverts constructed and buried within the fill area on the east side; 2) Sand-spreading that will mimic natural flooding in eight strategic areas; 3) Expanding mining operations by Cemex Inc.; 4) Expanding mining operations by Robertson’s Ready Mix; 5) Ongoing mining from Cemex Inc.; 6) Ongoing mining from Robertson’s ready mix; 7) Maintenance of Pipe 125 including leak repair, inspection, replacement of pipeline components, bank stabilization, and possible excavation and erosion control; 8) Orange Street Bridge Replacement: Current bridge will be replaced with a 200-foot long by 83-feet wide bridge span. The channel underneath the bridge will be increased in size to a maximum 192-foot-wide rectangular channel and the roadway will be raised 3 feet over the height of the existing bridge.
