Document Description
On 10/26/2015, the Cypress City Council approved the Barton Place Senior Housing and Commercial Retail Project (Approved Project), which consisted of a 244 unit senior housing community and a commercial retail center on a 33 acre site (project site) at the NE corner of Enterprise and Katella Avenue in the City of Cypress (City). A Final EIR for the Approved Project was certified as part of the approval process. The proposed project would modify the Approved Project's site plan and used mix by reducing the size of the commercial/retail development from approx. 48000 square feet to 13520 sf. A 129 unit assisted living facility with two buildings (Westmont at Cypress Assisted Living Facility) would replace three of the five approved commercial/retail buildings. Minor site plan modifications related to these land use changes are also proposed. The 244 unit senior residential community included in the Approved Project would not be affected. The City has prepared an Addendum to the EIR for the Approved Project to evaluate the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed project.
