Document Description
The City of Elk Grove's CIP is a five-year program (starting in Fiscal Year 2014/15 and ending in Fiscal Year 2018/19). It has two primary purposes: 1) the CIP describes transportation, drainage, and facility capital improvements planned by the City; and 2) it sets forth a funding strategy for their implementation. The proposed revisions include a number of new projects and significant revisions to existing projects that are proposed for addition to the CIP as part of the mid year budget revisions as follows:
-16 new or revised drainage, sewer, and roadway projects within the Southeast Policy Area (SEPA)
-3 new or revised Civic Center projects
-6 new or revised projects supporting bicycle and pedestrian facilities
-East Stockton Blvd. Sidewalk Extension to Elk Grove Park
-Elk Grove-Florin Road at West Camden Sidewalk Infill
-Big Horn/Laguna Bus Stop and Sidewalk Project
-Hudson Detention Basin Trail Paving and Parcourse
-Waterman Road Rehabilitation and Bike Lanes (Bond to Sheldon)
-Strawberry Creek Detention Basin Retrofit Project
-1 New Drainage maintenance and upgrade project (Blakemore Court and Hartwell Court Drainage Improvements
-1 new traffic control project (Left turn Pocket Extension Laguna Blvd and Laguna Park Drive (East))
-1 new engineering design study along Grant Line Road in the Sheldon Community.

General Rule [Section 15060(c)(3)]
CEQA Section 21000, et seq. of the California Public resources Code, requires that the potential impacts of projects that will have a physical impact on the environment be analyzed prior to their construction. State CEQA Guidelines Sections 15061 and 15378 exempts projects that have no potential for causing a significant effect on the environment.
