Document Description
The Proposed Plan identifies continued operation of an existing soil vapor extraction (SVE) system and excavation of soil at the Weapons Storage Area, Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) Site SS035, at Beale Air Force Base (AFB) and provides the rationale for this effort. The Proposed Plan documents the proposed remediation of soil impacted by volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE), among others. The ultimate goal for Site SS035 is to achieve site closure with unlimited use/unrestricted exposure (UU/UE) after soil vapor extraction (SVE) is discontinued and remaining contaminated soil removed.
