Document Description
The Calaveras County Public Works Department proposes to replace the existing low water crossing on Hawver Road over the North Fork of the Calaveras River with a new bridge. The project is located near the intersection with Jesus Maria Road approximately 1.8 miles southeast of Highway 26 in Mokelumne Hill, Calaveras County. The proposed bridge will improve the existing crossing by adding adequate lane width and shoulders, as well as providing a safe County road river crossing for motorists, pedestrians, and emergency response vehicles at all times including during adverse weather conditions. The new bridge will have two 10-foot lanes with 4-foot shoulders and traffic barriers at each side of the bridge for a total width of 31 feet.
