Document Description
The Draft Housing Element identifies residential sites adequate to accommodate a variety of housing types for all income levels and needs of special population groups defined under State law, analyzes governmental constraints to housing maintenance, improvement and development, addresses conservation and improvement of the condition of the existing affordable housing stock, and outlines policies to promote housing opportunities for all persons. No new housing sites, beyond those already identified in the current General Plan and Zoning code, are proposed as part of this update. The Housing Element Update does not include any changes to land use designations, zoning, building heights and intensities, or residential densities. Other proposed developments in the city that do not currently have City entitlements are not included in this Housing Element.
