Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement NO. 1600-2016-0200-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Caltrans. The purpose of this project is to improve safety at three locations along SR 16. The project includes: widening and paving shoulders; adding a left turn pocket for County Road 79; straightening two horizontal curves (increasing the curve radius); replacing or extending storm drainage culverts; shifting the alignment south to reduce impacts to Taylor Creek. Taylor Creek will be realigned in order to accommodate the new width of the freeway; flattening the vertical curve (increasing the length); shifting the alignment to the north to avoid residential and commercial development; adding a Two Way Left Turn Lane (TWLTL) from 560 feet west of CR-86A to 570 feet east of CR-86A; adding a TWLTL form 100 feet west of Tutt Street to CR-90; adding a roundabout at the SR-16/CR-89 intersection. At South Fork Willow Slough the project will remove the existing concrete box culvert and install a 16'x11'x65' concrete box culvert and install 4 box culvert wing walls.
