Document Description
The proposed project is the replacement of the existing functionally obsolete two-lane bridge, Bridge No. 18C-0100 on Pennington Road that crosses the Sutter Butte Irrigation Canal. The replacement bridge will consist of new reinforced concrete abutments, with precast concrete planks forming a single span over the canal. The Project includes the removal of the existing bridge and associated footings, which will be replaced with a single span precast bridge structure approximately 40 feet long by 34 feet wide. Minor bank disturbance and vegetation removal will occur adjacent to the existing abutments to accommodate the new structure. This disturbance is estimated at 150 sf of bank. All work will occur within the existing right-of-way. Pennington Road will remain open to local traffic only during construction.
