Document Description
Provides emergency access to current Nacimiento water entitlement during no-or-low-flow conditions. Project connects existing water pump station 1 to the Nacimiento Water Project (NWP) with a 4-inch pipeline, requires installation of approx. 1,250 ft of 4-inch diameter pipeline adjacent to and under the Nacimiento River, & connection to the NWP at existing air & vacuum valve through installation of a sub-surface vault. Pipeline installation would be completed through a combination of conventional trenching methods along the banks & horizontal directional drilling under the Nacimiento River. Project construction would require disturbance of approx. 0.25 acre over 1-2 months.
