Document Description
The project will do all of the following: Compile applicable existing seismic data for the Geysers geothermal field into a database for project use; build a fiber optic borehole seismic vector sensor array in the existing Paulsson laboratory in Van Nuys; test the seismic array in the Paulsson laboratory to ensure array operation in geothermal wells at the Geysers; conduct passive seismic field surveys in two existing wells at the Geysers using the array developed, with an active seismic survey conducted for one of the wells; analyze data generated by field surveys; and prepare reports on the project results.
