Document Description
The proposed prject includes the installation of a new storm drain system just west of Bay Boulevard that will discharge into the existing J Street Channel. The existing drainage system located within an existing SDG&E easement on the east side of the former Goodrich South Campus and north of J Street is inadequate and has resulted in ponding. The standing water is a cause for concern because it promotes conditions for vector habitat. The proposed storm drain system will address the ponding issue by collecting stormwater from two primary locations and diverting it to the south, with an outfall into the existing J Street Channel on the east side of the San Diego Bay.
