The project, as proposed, is to conduct routine maintenance within two jurisdictional debris basins, MTD 954 (Mt. Tricia Basin) and MTD 928 (Bentley Court Basin), regulated under California Department of Fish and Wildlife authority impacting waters of the state, as a direct result of project-related activities. The project primarily involves periodic excavation, land clearing, repair, and maintenance of existing detention basin structures and appurtenances, fire hazard clearing, and vegetation removal to restore the basins to their original flood design capacity. Both basins will be transferred to the responsibility of Los Angeles County Flood Control Department.
